Those of you who have studied with me know that one of the first things I teach is about ‘intent’. Intent and expectations. While I emphasize ‘Leadership’ and while leadership is the cornerstone to forming a full Partnership, the INTENT is what forms the heart of the relationship.

Many are not even aware of what’s really in their hearts until they come face-to-face with their horses and even then, are oblivious to the conversations they are having with their horses. Perhaps this very singular ability is the sole reason that we are drawn so intently to horses — so we can learn from them. As we learn to harness our thoughts our very lives change.
