Moment to Moment

31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. ~Matthew 6:31-34

Yes – moment to moment. Moment to moment. No worries about 10 mins from now or 2 hours from now or tomorrow or next week. Just – RIGHT NOW.

This is how horses live – moment to moment. They live the way God advises us to live. They *don’t* worry about their food or drink or whether or not they’re going to get their blankets put on. They exist in each moment of time. Each moment in time is what is R.E.A.L. to them.

We humans have lots of ‘real’ things goin’ on … life. We strive to survive in a world according to our own pleasures. Circled around ‘things’ … food, clothes, bills to pay, work to buy more things, pay more bills, new cars, houses, another horse or two perhaps?

We worry about things that already happened and have passed; we worry about things that haven’t happened and have yet to pass; we worry about what *might* be, what *should* be, what *could’ve been*, what *shouldn’t have been* … all this time spent on thinking about which we can do –

N.O.T.H.I.N.G.

So, essentially, a practice in nothingness. We survive in nothingness.

How can a horse, who exists in the very moment of what *IS*, connect with a human who is always existing in nothingness?

Hmmmmm, ponderous thought for the day. …

What *IS* your status right now?

What *IS* your horse’s status right now?

What *IS* the connection between the two of you?

Can you learn to *BE* with your horse? Can you learn to stifle the ‘nothingness’ long enough to be the partner your horse seeks? For they’re always seeking a trusted partner, friend, protector … that’s the way it *IS*.

Where are you today? Where are you right now? What are you smelling, seeing, thinking, feeling RIGHT NOW? What are you hearing, tasting or doing RIGHT NOW?

Become aware — aware of each moment so when you are with your horse you can BE that partner to him.

Simply — B.E.

The rest will fall into place just as its supposed to do.
