101 Courses are 10 modules programs designed for the beginner through advanced horseman.

NATURAL HOOFCARE 101 is a must for anyone who owns or cares for horses. No hoof-no horse is a timeless adage that is so important and, more so, true. Learn to care for your own horses’ hooves and how to prevent laminitis, thrush, yeast infections, white line disease and more. Discover what constitutes a healthy hoof – how it looks, feels and even smells. Find out  how to ‘feed’ the hoof for optimal strength and condition.  Learn the steps to properly trim and maintain your horses’ hooves. NHC101 is followed by a field day of hands-on trimming.

NATURAL EQUINE NUTRITION 101 is also a 10 module course covering the needs of the natural horse in terms of his food and other special dietary needs. What to feed an Insulin Resistant horse? What to feed a Cushings horse? How much food is required to keep your horse healthy. Find out how to help prevent physical issues such as Insulin Resistance, Allergies, Laminitis and more. What vitamins, minerals and salts are required to keep an average horse in good health? What about the performance horse? Foods that calm, foods that detoxify, foods that strengthen the liver and kidneys, foods that ‘feed the blood’. How to augment the diet with fresh herbs for specific conditions or, merely maintenance. What foods have the most calories? Feed by ‘scoop’ or by weight? What’s the best.  These questions and many more are addressed in this online 10 module course beginning September 22, 2011. Students come away from this course with an amazing amount of knowledge to keep their horses healthy or even to help rehab the rescues or the ones that need special help.

These classes meet in live discussion rooms, online, once weekly for 10 modules. In between the live chats are videos, reports, articles, and more to study. “Homework Assignments”, quizzes and final exams are part of the regular class syllabus and satisfactory completion of all work earns a Certificate of Completion from PENZANCE Equine Solutions, a well known and respected educational source throughout the world.
